What is the Photon Engine?
Photon is the review engine behind Diffraction. It brings project context, agent-driven browser exploration and evidence-backed findings together to review the UI and behavior of changed web applications.
How is UI review different from screenshot comparison?
Screenshot comparison helps detect visual changes. UI review also examines interactions, states and outcomes in the running application. A page can look right while a form, navigation path or important action fails.
Does Photon replace our existing tests?
Existing tests remain useful coverage and project context. Photon adds exploration of the changed experience, helping teams investigate behavior beyond the paths their tests already describe.
What does a review include?
A review connects findings to captured evidence, including screenshots, recorded flows and browser steps. Its coverage reflects the flows, browsers and viewports actually executed; incomplete or unavailable evidence is not a passing result.
Is a recording a live preview?
No. A recording shows the browser experience captured during that review. Each reviewed browser and viewport has its own execution evidence. A new size or changed application needs a new run to establish how it behaves.
